For all of you who don’t live on the East Coast, you are missing one of our favorite things about summer – Rita’s Gelatis! A Rita’s Gelati is Italian Ice layered with vanilla custard (or chocolate). I know that you must be thinking that this does not sound appealing, but trust me, it is fantastic!

My sister and her family came out to visit a couple years ago and they loved them. They even wanted to open a Rita’s franchise, but they do not do business in Washington State.
So, if you are ever in the New Jersey/New York area, make sure you stop by a Rita’s and get a gelati. You will thank me!
