Now that Christmas is over, I am making a list of birthdays for the coming year. On my list are children who enjoy playing video games. One of my favorite video game companies is Activision. They make fantastic games that my children enjoy playing. Here is a list of our favorite Activision games:

  • Lalaloopsy Carnival of Friends – Peanut Big Top is throwing the biggest Silly Funhouse carnival in Lalaloopsy Land. Find all of the Lalaloopsy friends at the carnival and reveal the big surprise. There are 40 Lalaloopsy characters in the game and you get to unlock a special character as well. Plus there are Lalaloopsy Littles, the Lalaloopsy siblings! 16 different levels. Rate E for Everyone, great game for little girls. Nintendo DS and 3DS
  • Bratz Fashion Boutique – Bratz dolls were very popular with my girls and they are back in this fashion themed video game. There are hundreds of clothes and accessories and players can create endless collections. You can cut and sew different fabrics, buttons, and decorations to create your own couture outfits. This game was fun for my older girls too! Rated E for Everyone, Nintendo DS and 3DS.
  • Moshi Monsters Moshlings Theme Park – What is it with these Moshi Monsters? Kids absolutely love them! In this game you search for the lost moshlings, 60 of them! Play mini games to unlock hints and tips to help you in your search. There are theme park rides that your monsters can ride too! Rated E for Everyone, Nintendo DS and 3DS.
  • Skylanders Giants – My son received this game for Christmas along with an assortment of Skylanders. At first, I wasn’t sure that it would catch his interest, but he and his 13 year old sister have a blast with this game. What makes this game so fun is the characters. You get to change characters anytime during the game simply by putting a new character on the portal. The characters are plastic renditions of the electronic characters in the game and they each have different skills and powers. To complete a level, you might have to change characters to use a different skill. This game has been hours of fun for my kids! Purchase the starter kit that includes the game, portal and a few characters. Rated E for Everyone. Available for Nintendo Wii, Playstation 3, XBox 360, Ninetendo 3DS, Nintendo Wii U.
  • Transformers Prime: The Game. What boy doesn’t love Transformers! My son loved them ever since the first movie came out a few years ago. When he received this game, he couldn’t wait to play it! He gets to choose if he wants to be an Autobot (the good guy) or a Decepticon (the bad guy). You get to fight different characters as well as race through the streets. Rated Everyone 10+. Available for Nintendo Wii, Ninetendo 3DS, Nintendo Wii U.
  • WipeOut 3 – If you have ever watched the television show of the same name, then you know what this game is all about. Compete against others to complete a crazy obstacle course. There are 12 new Summer and Winter courses with obstacles similar to the television show. There is also an instant replay function. Great game for families! Rated Everyone 10+, Available for Nintendo Wii, XBox 360, Ninetendo 3DS, Nintendo Wii U.

My son is just 2 so he’s not into video games yet…but my husband and I have always been into them. I am sure the kiddo will follow suit. I will have to check out Activision games once he’s interested!
