This week my eldest daughter is at an all girls church camp (heaven help the leaders!). Just one week ago, she sliced her ear open by dropping the handle of the lawn mower on the back of her head. Don’t ask me how this happened, I have no idea. I am not one to rush off to the ER or doctor for every cut and bruise but after looking at her ear and seeing the big gash, I told her we had to go.

Four stitches later and a little bit of tears (the numbing shots were what hurt) she is all better. She needs the stitches removed today, and fortunately the nurse at the camp is a friend of our and is going to take care of it.

Last night we reviewed her packing list adding Triple Antibiotic Ointment for the ear and acne treatment to the list. She left early this morning and is excited for a fun week. We get to go up on Thursday for a special presentation and see her then. I just hope she keeps that ear clean!
