Yesterday, I was privileged to attend the Stop & Shop New Jersey Mom Blogger Event sponsored by This Full House. The event was held at The Frog and The Peach Restaurant in New Brunswick (just a hop, skip and a jump from me).
After meeting everyone, we set down to a scrumptious lunch!

During the lunch Several members of the Stop & Shop team told us about their involvement in the community and how they are trying to help moms, like myself, save money on groceries and eat healthier. You might think this a little strange for a grocery company that is out to make money, but after hearing their ideas, I am convinced that that are trying to help moms and kids make better food choices.
Stop & Shop is also involved in charity work. Last year they raised money to help local food banks and this year they are supporting The Jimmy Fund to help fight Pediatric Cancer by featuring the Triple Winner Game. Simply donate $1 to The Jimmy Fund and you receive a Triple Winner Card that gives you a chance to win great prizes such as a Stop & Shop Gift Card, Free Products or $10,000 in cash. The best part, however, is that Stop & Shop donates 100% of the money raised to The Jimmy Fund!
Andrea A., who writes Andrea’s Column on the Stop & Shop website, was also in attendance and she presented us with a lot of great tips and ideas. There were so many great ideas, that I am going to dedicate a few separate blog posts to them, so be watching!
At the end of the luncheon, we were presented with a goodie bag! Inside were a number of Nature’s Promise Organic products and some great literature. Nature’s Promise is actually one of my favorite brands (I have used their milk for a while now) and am glad to see they are expanding their product line.

Last December, several New Jersey Bloggers present at the meeting took part in Blogging Out Hunger that helped raise money for the New Jersey Food Bank. This event will be held again this year, so if you are a New Jersey Blogger and want to participate, please let me know!
