Twitter Moms and Little Blends wants to know how I sneak fruits and veggies into my children’s diet. Feeding my kids healthy foods is sometimes hit or miss. So, I like to try and sneak in fruits and vegetables when I can. Here are some of the ways that I have added healthy foods to their diet without them even knowing!
- Add pureed califlower (cooked) into mashed potatoes. It doesn’t change the taste much and the color stays the same.
- Apple & Eve has come up with a new juice box called Fruitables. The drink has 1/3 less sugar and one complete serving of both fruits and vegetables per box.
- I make a slow cook version of Sweet & Sour Chicken that has chunks of pineapples and baby carrots in it. The sauce is a little bit sweet and is a complete meal in one!
- This is not really sneaky, but I have started leaving a bowl of fruit on the kitchen table at all times. It is amazing how fast the fruit goes when it is so readily available.
