I am always looking for good themes for a child’s party that are easy to put together and would be fun for all the attending. Hot Wheels is a great party theme and easy to pull together even at the last minute.

Color Theme

Red, Green and Yellow is a great combination of colors and, of course, are the colors in a traffic stoplight. Add Hot Wheels Orange and you got a perfect color scheme.

Gather up any Hot Wheels cars that you have. Purchase helium balloons in red, green and yellow and tie the balloons to the Hot Wheels cars. These make great car anchors!

Use your own Hot Wheel Set to make a dessert table!

Purchase some black and white checked duck tape. Use this to cover water bottle labels, make checkered flags and make other signs for your party.

Goodie Bags

Buy orange paper bags with handles at the dollar store. You can usually get three for $1 dollar. Fill the bags with a Hot Wheels Car and Hot Wheels PlayTape. This PlayTape is inexpensive and very easy to use. It comes in Orange and Blue and is 15 feet long by 2″ wide, plus they also have Curves! Simply “Unroll, Stick, and Race!™” Hot Wheels PlayTape features:

Use dollar store bins to create food buckets! I love how they printed signs for each bucket with car themed names.

One of my favorite easy meals for parties is walking tacos. They are so easy to create and kids love them. Purchase small chip bags (Doritos, Fritos) and cut the top off so it is open at the top. Prepare taco meat and have taco toppings available such as shredded cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, olives, etc. Let each child spoon what they want into the chip bag. Mix well. Easy clean up!
