Buying Used

by The Shopping Duck on December 2, 2008

If you are looking to save a few extra bucks this year, try buying slightly used items. eBay is a great source for items that may have been only used once! I have bought shoes, clothing, computers and even used cisco from eBay. Before you purchase at eBay this holiday season, here are a few tips!

  1. Know prices. Never buy something used that you could get cheaper new, unless it is an antique or collectible.
  2. Watch for shipping prices. Some sellers on eBay charge an arm and a leg for shipping. Look for shipping costs before you bid.
  3. Don’t get caught up in the bidding wars. Decide on a final price that you are willing to pay before you bid, bid that amount and let it go if you don’t win.
  4. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. You won’t get a Chanel bag for $20, you will get a knockoff though!

There are a lot of items for sale on eBay, shop around and you could get yourself some great deals!
