Black Friday

by The Shopping Duck on September 7, 2010

Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving. The day that retailers supposedly give huge discounts to shoppers. If you want to get the best deals, start planning your Black Friday strategy now.

  • Black Friday deals are often leaked online. A google search for Black Friday will give you many options to explore before the big day.
  • Many stores offer a limited quantity of the low priced item hoping to get you into the store. Once the item is gone, there are no rainchecks. If you really want that item, plan to be the first one in line!
  • Black Friday sales are often exempt from price match guarantees. Know the policies before you shop.
  • Make sure you get the paper for Thanksgiving and Black Friday. Some deals are only advertised on those days.
  • Some deals are available online. Check to see if you can save yourself a trip to the store.

Hopefully these tips will help prepare you for the holiday shopping season!

We have gone out on black Friday a few times and last year I learned there is a cyber Monday where you can get similar deals but online.
