I was invited to New York City yesterday to participate in an event sponsored by All. All has just released a new detergent: all Oxi-Active. And, let me tell you, it is impressive! Some moms brought their children who were encouraged to “get dirty.” All provide ice cream, cookies and all the toppings and the kids went wild eating and smearing the stuff on their clothes. There was another section where the kids could paint with grass on their shirts as well. (Thank goodness All provided shirts for the kids to wear!) The shirts were then washed and out came all the stains!
We were treated to an address by Dr. Michele Borba, author of The Big Book of Parenting Solutions: 101 Answers to Your Everyday Challenges and Wildest Worries, who told us how important play time is in a child’s life. I was thrilled to speak with her personally and I enjoyed the time we had together.
