Proctor & Gamble is kicking off its “Thank You Mom Reunions” contest. The contest will help reunite Moms and their children. Proctor & Gamble will bring together 105 moms, who are unable to do so on their own, with their children. This will be spread out over a 10 month period (15 moms per month).
To enter the contest you should log onto www.thankyoumom.com. You could win a travel voucher to help cover the cost, plus a portable digital video camera to help record those special memories. You must submit a 100 word essay describing why you would like to be united with your mom. The entries on voted on and the favorites will win! Each month 15 entries will be chosen. The contest will end in November, 2010.
I am going to see my Mom this summer, so I am lucky that I am able to afford to travel. My mom is a little quirky, but what I love about her is that she instilled a quest for knowledge in me. She was always looking for new things to discover and learn. Now, I try and pass this on to my kids. Things are so much easier now with the internet. We are constantly looking up the meanings to words, searching for pictures of far off places or learning new scientific facts! Thanks mom for helping me enjoy the love of learning!
