The most surprising gift that I ever received was from my teenage daughter. She decided that for my birthday she wouldn’t buy me anything, but instead she took the time to sit down and make me a little coupon book. In the book she listed things that she would do for me, such as clean the bathroom, wash the dishes and give me a foot massage. The best coupon, however, was for her to be nice for 24 hours. As you may know, teenager attitude can be a real trial sometimes!
I was so grateful that my daughter took the time to think about what my needs might be and to take time from her busy schedule to do extra things that help me.
