Our tap water does not taste very good and this makes me very suspicious.  What could be lurking in my water?  I just received a Filtrete Water Pitcher from 3M and I thought I would give it a try.  Since bottled water can be expensive, this would be a more economical way to get cleaner water.

The water pitcher comes with a lid and a Filtrete Fast Flow Filter.  The filter fills up quickly and filters water five time faster than other products.  The pitcher is easy to use.  Simply fill up with water, through the filter, to get up to 12 cups of water.  It was nice having fresh, good tasting and cold water from the fridge whenever I wanted it.  I loved that the filter should last three months (about 100 gallons of water).  Replacement filters run from $11 to $13 and can be found at major stores and online.  This is a significant savings over bottled water!

Recently, I was able to try two products from EcoStore USA. EcoStore USA produces environmentally friendly products that are plant based. These products are just as effective as the supermarket brands. The products are concentrated, which I love, because just a small amount will go a long way.

All Purpose Cleaner

I wanted to try this product specifically because of my 11 year old daughter. She is allergic to a lot of the body wash products out there. This body wash contains no dyes and has a fresh scent. The body is a blend of certified organic essential oils and includes moisturizers. My daughter and I both loved this product. She was thrilled to finally have a body was that was good to her sensitive skin and had a cool fragrance as well.

I just received a Gruene 2 in 1 Steam Mop and Steam Cleaner to review. The product was VERY easy to assemble right out of the box and I started using it within 5 minutes. Steam cleaners are an eco-friendly way to clean your floors. You do not need to use harsh chemicals, the hot steam cleans and sanitizes the floor without them. The Gruene steam cleaner comes with accessories that make it easy to mop your ceramic and hard wood floors. Plus, the steam cleaner becomes a hand held device that enables you to clean other places. I used the hand held unit to clean around the handles and drain in my sinks (there is a lot of gunk hiding there) and the grout between my tiles in the kitchen.

Last week, I attended an event in New York City to see the unveiling of Frigidaire’s “Make Time for Change” campaign. The event, which was held at Gary’s Loft, was set up with many of the new time saving appliances from Frigidaire. I have made a whole new list of appliances for my home!

If you are getting older like I am, you might notice that it is getting harder and harder to read the small print! I was at Target the other day and found that they have a bunch of plates, cups and bowls on sale. Some of them were priced at $1.38 each. The ones I picked up were 4 for $1.38. They are plastic and come in either pink shades or blue shades. They are dishwasher safe, but not microwave safe. These would be great for outdoor use in the summer!!
