The 40th anniversary of Earth Day was celebrated yesterday and this time of the year always gets me thinking about using and buying green products. Amazon is listing some great Earth Day Savings to help you choose products that will be kind to the environment.

I do a LOT of shopping on Amazon.com. They site is easy to negotiate and the prices are usually very good. Plus, I use the free shipping option. In order to get free shipping, you have to be purchasing at least $25.00 of merchandise. Sometimes I come up a little short. Not anymore. Now I use Amazon Filler Item Finder.

Amazon Filler Item Finder is easy to use. Simply fill in the amount that you are short. For instance, lets say my shopping cart comes to a total of $22.80. I fill in the amount of $2.20 and Amazon Filler Item Finder finds items that the exact price or close to it. I often find items that I need or want. Last time I used the tool, I found a king size Sharpie marker that I needed anyway.

Are you hurrying out to get your last minute Christmas Shopping done? Here in the Northeast, the roads are snowy and icy and I wonder it that will deter anyone from shopping. If you want to shop online, here are some ordering cutoffs:

Amazon.com – Order by Sunday, December 21st and choose two-day shipping to get your item on time. In fact, you will have until Monday, December 22nd at 3:00pm PST to use the two-day shipping option. Order by Tuesday, December 23rd at 3:00pm PST and choose one-day shipping to get your package on time. REMEMBER, this usually only applies to items that Amazon is shipping directly.

Buy.com – Order by Sunday, December 21st and choose the 2nd Day Air option for most items. Orders must be placed by 12:00PM PST. If you order on Monday, December 22nd, choose Next Day Air and order by 12:00PM PST.

Barnes & Noble.com – Place your order by December 22nd at 11:59pm EST and spend at least $100 and they will ship it to you, on time, for FREE! Items must be marked with “Fast & Free Delivery” and “Usually Ships Within 24 Hours” to qualify.

By the end of Christmas, I am going to need to visit drug treatment centers just to quick my caffeine habit. I have been on the computer day and night trying to get the best deals on gifts and really haven’t found any good ones. And to top it all off, I haven’t been offered any of the great deals from the Amazon vote promotion! I was hoping for the Wii, but no such luck.

Black Friday is fast approaching. I am balancing my checking accounts to make sure that I have the money I need for all the great deals.

There will be hourly deals and thousands of products on sales for a limited time. You can also get gift wrapping for only $0.99 per item. Don’t fight the crowds – shop online!

Last year, Amazon introduced a program where customers get to vote for a product they would like to see discounted. This year they are repeating the program with a few changes.

There are six rounds, each with three products. Round One includes a Nintendo Wii for $79, a Playstation 3 for $139 and a Microsoft XBox for $99. Vote for the product you like. If that product wins, you may be able to purchase the product for the discounted price! Simply check back on the date noted and see if you are chosen.
