Hellmann’s® and Billy Ray Cyrus Team Up to Help Fight Hunger {Giveaway Too!}

by The Shopping Duck on August 21, 2009

Yesterday, I was invited to attend an event held by Hellmann’s® the makers of Hellmann’s® and Best Foods Mayonnaise and other products. Two of my children and I took the train to New York City and listened as Hellmann’s® introduced their new campaign to help feed the hungry. Not only did we meet some great people from Hellmann’s®, but Billy Ray Cyrus appeared as well and gave his thoughts on way he joined the team and how important it is to help those in need.

[photopress:billy_ray.jpg,full,pp_image]Hellmann’s® has set up a Facebook page where you can make a virtual sandwich. Each time you do, Hellmann’s® donates seven lunches to Feeding America, a network of more than 200 food banks that supply food and groceries to people as risk of hunger. If you share your sandwich with a friend, Hellmann’s® will donate an additional seven lunches to Feeding America. Plus, when you create your sandwich, you can be entered into a contest for a chance to win a $250 grocery store gift card.

[photopress:rachel_makes_sandwich.jpg,full,pp_image]At the event, Hellmann’s® had kiosks set up where we could make our own virtual sandwiches, my daughter Rachel gave it a try and also had a big bite of on of the sandwiches they provided (they were yummy!). Unfortunately, Billy Ray Cyrus had to run off to another event, so we didn’t get to take our picture with him. My kids were excited, though, for the chance to see him and they understood why we were there and the importance of helping others in need!

Do you want to make your own real sandwich using Hellmann’s® Mayonnaise? I am giving away a $20 TARGET GIFT CARD to one lucky reader!

Win It!

One random reader will win a $20 TARGET GIFT CARD. To enter head on over to Facebook and swap a virtual sandwich. Come back here and tell me what sandwich you made!
