A number of people in our neighborhood are opting to add a second story to their home. I have seen various designs over the past few years that I have lived here. Most people opt for a simple box look for their upstairs addition. A few, however have added fiberglass columns to the front for a more classy look. These columns are much cheaper than wood columns and easier for the contractor to install. They are also paintable. If you want a new look for your home, this might be a good option.
